ONE’s design for Drakelow Primary School recieves planning approval

Last week, Becki, Associate Director at ONE, attended the planning committee meeting at South Derbyshire Council and we are thrilled to say that the new Drakelow Primary School has been granted planning consent.
The new school, which has been designed by ONE , is part of a new development and will serve a brand-new community. The school has been designed to be flexible in use and meet a range of requirements for the new cohort. With ONE’s multi-disciplinary team working closely with Clegg Construction, both the indoor and outdoor areas maximise the learning experience with classrooms flowing onto outdoor teaching spaces to allow for integration of inside/outside teaching, linking to the main play area. Great new sports facilities including a 3G pitch have been included, as well as a habitat area to provide forest school experiences.
After working on this project for 2 years, ONE is delighted that this fantastic project can now progress and we can’t wait to see the plans become a reality.
