ONE goes back to school
Posted: 9 July 2019
The team at ONE have recently been awarded a project to provide multi-disciplinary architectural services for a school in Coventry.
Appointed by Coventry City Council, the Coundon Court Secondary School in Northbrook Road, Coventry currently provides 1650 places for children aged 11-18. This number will increase to 1680 in September 2019 and will increase annually until 2023 by an additional 30 pupils per year.
Over the coming months, One will work with the council and the school to explore different options and design a permanent solution for the expansion and refurbishment to enable the school to grow and adapt to accommodate the increased pupil numbers. All the works are planned to be completed in time for new school arrivals in September 2020 with a consultation exercise this Autumn.
Mark Martin, Director of One Creative Environments Ltd., said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to deliver the expansion needs of this school. Education is a growth sector for our company and we welcome this new opportunity to prove our capabilities.”
