Designer of the Year Win at BIM Show Live

One Creative Environments Ltd. (One) is thrilled to win the Designer of the Year category at the BIM Show Live 2019 awards, held on 26 February in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

The awards honour and recognise the world’s best BIM work and those who created it, by celebrating their exceptional and innovative use of BIM in the built environment.

One was an early adopter of BIM, and we have embedded the technology within our multidisciplinary organisation and are a BIM Level 2 accredited practice.

The judges were impressed by the way we continue to innovate to maximise the potential of BIM to add value to our clients whilst also sharing knowledge across the industry. This includes R&D projects to address industry challenges and creative applications for projects, for example, creating a workflow to allow Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) Schedules to be driven directly from BIM at project handover.

One’s Director of BIM, Jason Whittall, was in Newcastle-upon-Tyne to collect the award.

At One we believe that a fully multidisciplinary practice is the most effective way to deliver fully integrated BIM and it is a core business activity that drives our creative output.

I was very pleased the judges recognised how we have continued to work to maximise the benefits of BIM over many years and our willingness and openness in sharing our results to help the industry. One is also currently a finalist in both the Innovation and Property Business categories at the 2019 West Midlands Business Masters awards which takes place in March 2019.
